Meet Bailee Phillips

Champion on the Field, Natural Teacher

Coach Bailee Phillips is the definition of a well-rounded athlete and instructor. A standout from Red Bank, Tennessee, Bailee brings next-level knowledge, unmatched work ethic, and a heart for teaching that makes her a favorite among players and parents alike.

Bailee’s softball journey began at Red Bank High School, where she quickly established herself as one of the top athletes in the region. A 3-time All-District and 2-time All-Region player, Bailee capped off her senior year with All-State honors, was named to the Best of Preps, and became a finalist for the Scrappy Moore Award—an honor given to Chattanooga’s top high school athletes. That same season, she made history by setting the school record for most strikeouts in a single season, a testament to her competitive drive and command in the circle.

After high school, Bailee continued her career at Cleveland State Community College, where she made an immediate impact both as a pitcher and a hitter. Her consistency, power at the plate, and leadership helped set the tone for the program before she transferred to Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Now a senior at Tennessee Wesleyan, Bailee has become one of the top players in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. In her junior year, she was named AAC Pitcher of the Year and earned multiple Pitcher of the Week awards for her dominant performances. On top of her pitching success, Bailee is a force offensively—making her one of the most complete players on the field.

Off the field, Bailee is majoring in Elementary Education, with plans to become a third-grade teacher. Her teaching instincts run deep—she comes from a family full of educators and coaches, and it shows in the way she leads young athletes. She's clear, patient, encouraging, and always brings out the best in her players.

Bailee has been part of our instructional team for several years now, and she’s become a cornerstone of our coaching family. Whether she’s working with pitchers, hitters, or running small group sessions, her calm confidence and passion for the game shine through.
